The day following his elimination from American Idol, James Durbin stepped onto The Tonight Show stage and rocked the house.
Despite Idol viewers making such a huge mistake, the Santa Cruz kid is proud of what he brought to the competition.
“I came here [Idol] to do what I wanted to do and I stuck to it,” Durbin told Jay Leno, “and I think I did a pretty good job.”
James then sat in with The Tonight Show band for the rest of the show, rocking many of his Idol tracks, including "You Got Another Thing Coming" by Judas Priest
, "Heavy Metal" by Sammy Hagar (from the movie Heavy Metal
